Your boat is surely a great investment and protecting it from potential damages at sea as well as at the dock is a must for every boater. Every time you enter the dock, you run the risk of damaging the topsides of your boat with protruding dock structures as well as causing serious damage to the dock itself. Yet another useful piece of equipment every dock should have is a dock lift. When your boat is not in use for a long period of time and remains in the water, it may suffer from the effect of dirty water staining its sides as well as face even more serious effects of strong winds, waves and tides smashing the topsides of your vessel against the surface of the dock. An easy solution to both problems is a dock lift which holds your boat up and out of the water. Most commonly used types of dock lifts are manually operated, though electronic and hydraulic units can be had as well.
